We treat vascular diseases focusing on peripheral arterial and venous disease

PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE

Do your leg muscles start to hurt when you walk or exercise? Do you have dull aching pain in your legs when you stand too long? These symptoms could be related to problems with your arteries or veins.

When the blood supply to your leg is reduced due to plaque buildup inside your arteries, you could initially experience  ‘claudication’ or leg pain that starts or is worsened by walking or exercise. As the amount of plaque buildup increases and your blood supply gets further reduced, you could have leg pain even at rest. At Sunrise Vascular, we have expertise in diagnosing plaque buildup in arteries and treating with minimally invasive therapies.

WOUNDS, ARTERIAL AND VENOUS

When the blood supply to your leg is reduced due to plaque buildup inside your arteries, you could initially experience symptoms like leg pain that starts or is worsened by walking or exercise. Eventually, it could progress to the point where there is not enough blood flow to heal wounds on your feet or lower legs. At Sunrise Vascular, we have expertise in diagnosing plaque buildup in arteries and treating with minimally invasive therapies.

If your veins are not working properly due to faulty valves, you could experience symptoms of ‘venous insufficiency’ including varicose veins, skin itching/inflammation, leg swelling, and dull aching pain in your legs worsened by prolonged standing. If the venous insufficiency symptoms progress, you could develop a wound (or venous ulcer) that is unable to heal.  At Sunrise Vascular, we have expertise in diagnosing venous insufficiency and treating with minimally invasive therapies.

VARICOSE VEINS

Varicose veins are enlarged superficial veins that are visible on the skin. They occur as a result of faulty valves of leg veins leading to ‘venous insufficiency’. Symptoms of venous insufficiency include visible varicose veins, skin itching/inflammation, leg swelling, and dull aching pain in your legs worsened by prolonged standing. If the venous insufficiency symptoms progress, you could develop a wound (or venous ulcer) that is unable to heal. At Sunrise Vascular, we have expertise in diagnosing venous insufficiency and treating with minimally invasive therapies.

DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS/BLOOD CLOT

A blood clot that develops in a deep vein is called a deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Symptoms of DVT include pain, redness, and swelling. DVT can be caused due to a variety of factors including immobilization, trauma, cancer, or genetic predisposition. One of the predispositions to getting DVT is called May-Thurner syndrome, where there is compression of a vein in the pelvis by an adjacent artery. At Sunrise Vascular, we have expertise in diagnosing vascular issues related to DVT and treating with minimally invasive therapies.

PREVENTING AMPUTATIONS/LIMB SALVAGE

Patients with peripheral arterial and/or venous disease of the legs often don't have access to proper evaluation and care for these issues. Sometimes, this lack of access to proper care can lead to amputation of the affected legs. At Sunrise Vascular, our goal is to address this public health issue by providing advanced minimally invasive treatments that can save legs and save lives!
